Where to Meet and How to Get There

Your learning expedition begins at Arizona State Museum, Saturday, Sept. 27, 1 PM

Please let us know when and where to expect you according to the following:

Option 1: Roundtrip in and out of Tucson, arriving Friday night. We suggest that you stay (but it will be at your expense, not part of the trip package) at either the University Marriott at 880 E. 2nd (800-228-9290), or Peppertrees Bed & Breakfast at 724 E. University (800-348- 5763, pepperinn@gci-net.com) because they are within walking distance to the museum. They are also close to other nearby attractions, should you find time on Saturday morning: Arizona Historical Society, UA Museum of Art, and Center for Creative Photography. Transportation to your hotel from the Tucson airport can be arranged with the Arizona Stagecoach (520-889-1000, apprx. $23) or any local taxi service. If requested, we will be happy to pick you up at your chosen hotel around noon on Saturday.

Option 2: Roundtrip in and out of Tucson, arriving Saturday morning. If requested, we will pick you up at the Tucson airport on Saturday morning, otherwise you may have the Arizona Stagecoach (520-889-1000, apprx. $23) or any local taxi service bring you to the museum by 1 PM.

Option 3: Roundtrip in and out of Phoenix, taking shuttle to Tucson. In this option, you have a round trip in and out of Phoenix Skyharbor Airport and take the Arizona Shuttle (520- 795-6771; runs hourly, apprx. $35) to Tucson. The nearest shuttle drop off point on campus is at 6th Street and Park Avenue. If you arrive Friday, you could stay at either the University Marriott at 880 E. 2nd (800-228-9290), or Peppertrees Bed & Breakfast at 724 E. University (800-348-5763, pepperinn@gci-net.com). Both are walking distance to the museum and convenient to other campus attractions: Arizona Historical Society, UA Museum of Art, and Center for Creative Photography. If requested, we will be happy to pick you up at the campus shuttle stop and deliver you to your chosen hotel. If you plan to arrive at the campus shuttle stop on Saturday morning, please let us know the time and we will pick you up and bring you to the museum.
