Pithouse Plan

Plan view map of a prehistoric Mogollon culture pithouse at the Bear Ruin, near Forestdale, on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, excavated by the University of Arizona Archaeological Field School in 1939 and 1940. This map was probably drafted by Brigham Arnold, a student at the time, and was reproduced in the report on the site written by Emil W. Haury and published in 1940. Reproduced from the original in the Arizona State Museum Archives.
