My cultural identity is unique. I am Native American, but did not grow up traditionally. I was brought up in a Christian home, but was told of my heritage. By having two aspects in life, I have kept an open mind about life in general. My values are Christian, but my mind is full of traditions. I have always been proud to be from the Navajo Nation.    I grew up in a single parent home. This has shown me how important it is to have family ties. My home was positive and I always had a part in decision making. The only difference in the environment that I am in now, is that I'm far away from my family. I have always lived independently and was aware of reality.

I plan on graduating from the University of Arizona with a degree in Finance. I will then go to law school and get a degree in law. I have not decided what I will do with this degree, but it is one of two things: practice contract law or go into the FBI.

I was inspired to go into this profession because I was born in an area where the majority of residents are Native Americans. But, there are only two Native lawyers there. I feel that this needs to be changed. So, I decided I should become a lawyer; besides the field is of great interest to me!
