Pot sizes have varied from the very big to the very small from prehistoric times to the present. Many of the large pots were used prehistorically to store food while the smallest are thought to serve as children’s toys or examples of expert artistry.
Contrary to popular thought, miniature pots were not created as a response to the tourist trade. They are found in all cultures and from all time periods. |
