Dibe iina at'e—Sheep is Life (concluded)

Today, most Navajos work in businesses, factories, or government offices. Yet, flocks and herds are still an important part of life, even if they are no longer the basis of the reservation economy. Navajos still relate to the saying Dibe iina' at'e—"sheep is life."
