“Lucy Wilson's family lives in the community of Kinlichee, outside Ganado, Arizona. Several members of this talented extended family carry on the local tradition of weaving elaborate two-faced and diamond twill rugs. Here, Lucy combined the two techniques into an effective pattern of blocks. Note that the ye’ii figures, representing the Holy People in Navajo religion, appear on only one side of the fabric.” —Ann Hedlund
