“Elsie Wilson began weaving this rug on June 1, 1981. Sometimes her sister Sadie Curtis helped. After more than 700 hours of work, she completed the rug on August 6, 1981.” —Ann Hedlund

“Elsie Wilson was an incredible weaver. Her color combinations and patterns are amazing. The way she outlined her designs is impressive, too—that’s hard to do.” —Barbara Ornelas
