Revival Germantown-style rug
Date: 1992
Artist: Priscilla Warren, born c. 1972
Size: 83" x 65"
Count: 32 wefts/inch

“Priscilla Warren drew numerous 19th century blanket motifs together to make her own fresh design. She didn’t copy one particular blanket.” —Ann Hedlund

“I like the yellow and green color combination—the light and dark. The pattern just jumps from the rug. You see a lot of crosses in old pieces. I’ve made a few on the tiny revival tapestries that I do. They’re hard to do, to keep your lines straight and make them all the same. Her spacing is really clean and unified. It’s beautiful in the way it is put together.” —Barbara Ornelas
