Artist: Stella Todacheeny, 1918-1986
Size: 8' 4" x 5'
Count: 50 wefts/inch

“Stella Todacheeny lived in Greasewood, near Ganado. She wove Ganado Red, Klagetoh, and Two Grey Hills styles. Specializing in very large rugs, she often used one large single diamond in her rugs, no matter which colors she chose.

“The Two Grey Hills style differs slightly from family to family. For instance, the Teller-Ornelas family almost always uses double diamonds in their rugs’ centers. Sometimes the double diamond is even mistaken to represent the area’s namesake ‘two grey hills.’” —Ann Hedlund
