“Alice Nelson's rug won First Place in the 1971 Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial and was published in Arizona Highways magazine in 1974. With multiple borders and varied geometric motifs, it is a classic Teec Nos Pos pattern, copied frequently by other weavers. It is common, as in this example, for Teec Nos Pos weavers to re-spin commercial 4-ply wool yarn for their weaving.” —Ann Hedlund
