Evidence

While exhibited works often reveal the cultural roots of the artists who produced them, many of these artists are extending historic artistic iconography into living traditions that embrace a wide range of creative strategies. Past exhibits have explored a diverse scope of media including collage, photography, mixed media assemblage, painting, carving and printmaking.

Artists are invited to exhibit by the museum store. Their selection is based upon the quality of work, relevance to the museum's mission, and the cultural contribution of their personal artistic insight. Additionally, all exhibiting artists meet stringent standards for professional presentation of their work.

A portion of sales directly supports the exhibiting artists, while the remaining portion supports museum educational programs. Information regarding the sales of any current work on exhibit may be directed to the museum store: 520-626-5886.
