When I first started to learn to read I had a horrible time. Then all of a sudden one day it fell into place and I really began to read. Since then I’ve been a reader and I read, read, read, read. Reading has made such a difference in my life. That’s what I liked about school. One thing that was very, very different was that we did not have a library. Schools nowadays actually have a room that is a library. I was in third grade and my teacher was Miss McGraw. Along one wall in her classroom were some shelves and that was the library. Students would come in and get books.
