Apache Wedding
Painting by Carl A. Vicenti
In the Apache Wedding, I could hear the
Movement of the trees from the whisper of
The wind, as the smell of the smoke travels on
And on from the smell of the fire.
Miles away the wolves spot the huge cloud of
Smoke moving away like deer getting hunted
By a wolf, as the smell of the burning pine moves
Away the sun starts to go down and the wolves start howling.
The sound of the wolves,
Howling in my ears
Sounds like the soft tone of a flute.

The Apache Wedding
I was seeing the father saying
A prayer on them. I saw magic.
Flowing everywhere in the sky
It was their magic, their scent.
There was incense flowing
With the sky and was
Shaped as horses and bears
I saw a family, a happy family.
A proud family. A heartwarming family.
A family that loves you and takes care of you
And will give you shelter.
Mom and Dad getting married.
