Jurors’ Comments:
Diane Dittemore & Patrick Lyons: ASM may have the largest collection of Western Apache fiddles, and it is important that we continue to add to it with examples from contemporary artists such as Mr. Belvado. He has nicely combined the traditional with the innovative in this fiddle and bow set. [See additional comments on this piece under the Gordon Carle Award of Excellence in Tribal Arts.]
