Description: Painted yellow pottery quail effigy vessel, traditionally fired.

Jurors' Comments: Holly: Since the category was "innovations" I liked the one that was least pot-like. I was drawn to the variations in color, the mottling of color on the sides of the bird and its chest. || Delbridge: It has a bird and a hole at the top that you can put something in—simple feathers and wings design. Nice color by how its burned.
