Hennaed handArchana Agrawal (Shringar, LLC) Shringar refers to the application of henna and bridal makeup. Archana learned henna application from her mother while growing up in India. When she moved to the United States she discovered the difficulty in finding a henna artist for her own wedding and decided to dedicate her talents to providing this service to the community.

Arizona Game And Fish Department is the agency responsible for managing and conserving Arizona’s wildlife for future generations. The local Tucson office on Greasewood Road issues hunting and fishing licenses and handles many urban and rural wildlife issues. www.azgfd.govOpens in a new window

Arizona History Museum on Second Street is the main branch of the Arizona Historical Society. It’s large collection features Arizona history artifacts, documents, and photographs. Roni Capin Rivera-AshfordRoni Capin Rivera-Ashford is the author of My Nana’s Remedies/Los remedios de mi nana and Hip, Hip Hooray, It’s Monsoon Day!/Ajua, ya llego el chubasco, which was recognized as a 2007 Children’s Books, Southwest Books Of The Year.  She is a former Nogales Unified School District teacher and translator for Tucson Unified School District. Degrazia Gallery In The Sun, a national historic site, is a legendary landmark of southwestern art and architecture created by the late Tucson artist Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia, who achieved worldwide acclaim with his images of indigenous life and lore. Flandrau: The University Of Arizona Science Center inspires the teaching and learning of science and technology, creates pathways to lifelong learning, and promotes the area’s social, economic and environmental sustainability. Fushicho Daiko, Arizona's premier professional performing taiko group based in Phoenix, was founded in 1992. Andrew Higgins is a curator at The Arizona State Museum. He Specializes In Historic And Contemporary American Indian material culture.

Josefina Lizarraga, owner of West Boutique Flowershop in Menlo Park, learned to make traditional tissue paper flowers as a young girl in Mexico. Over the years, she has shared her expertise and stories, and has taught this art to many at Tucson Meet Yourself and many other local venues.

Rich Lange, M.A. is a research specialist and archaeologist at Arizona State Museum. He is the associate director of the Homol'ovi Research Program and has expertise in the ceramics, architecture and settlement patterns of prehistoric groups in central and northeastern Arizona.

Patrick Lyons, Ph.D is head of collections and associate curator of anthropology at the Arizona State Museum and an assistant professor in the department of anthropology at the University of Arizona. His research and teaching focus on pottery made and used by the ancient people of the American Southwest and northwestern Mexico.

Mexican American Studies And Research Center, University Of Arizona is committed to contemporary applied public policy research on Mexican Americans. Molehill Orkestrah

Molehill Orkestrah are performers in the old world tradition. The group is composed of seven musicians with a variety of musical backgrounds ranging from classical to punk rock, from mariachi to jazz. They fuse diverse contemporary genres with Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Klezmer, and Eastern European influences. Sankosa Stilt Walker

Sankosa is named after a bird that looks back at its tail each time it lands. To the Ashanti people of Ghana this represents going back and retrieving the past. The mission of this performance group is to preserve the culture of Africa. Keith Johnson heads this exciting group and brings over 20 years of performance experience.

San Xavier Cooperative Association, a tribally chartered organization of the San Xavier Indian Reservation, is committed to healthy farming practices and growing traditional crops to support the cultural and environmental values of its O’odham community. Presently the farm produces chemical-free alfalfa hay and traditional crops such as tepary beans, 60-day corn, squash, peas, melons, devil’s clay and mesquite flour.

Seven Pipers Scottish Society is dedicated to the preservation, performance, and enjoyment of Scottish music and dance. Seven Pipers started out as the Tucson Highlanders in 1957. Regina Siquieros is an enrolled member of the Tohono O'odham Nation. She currently serves as the UA American Indian Language Development Institute (AILDI) Program Coordinator.  She is a storyteller, singer of traditional O'odham songs and long-time educator.  She has a firm belief that native cultures & languages carry strength and if utilized will empower one to succeed in accomplishing their life's goals.
