QUECHAN (YUMA) BEADED COLLAR Dates: around 1900 Netted beaded collars were made and worn by the Yuman people of the Lower Colorado River. Also called "Big Bertha" collars, they were usually all made of dark blue and white seed beads, with bold geometric patterns reminiscent of pottery designs. |
