New to Subcribing?

You subscribe by using a special file on our site called a "feed". Much like you use a "player" when you watch a video clip or listen to music on your computer, you can use a "feed reader" to subscribe to a feed. A reader checks automatically to see when the feed is updated and displays the updates for you as they become available.

An easy way to subscribe is to use a web-based feed reader. The advantages of these readers are that you can view your subscriptions from any computer with Internet access and you don't have to install any software. You can sign up for a free account at one of the following websites:

If you don't want to sign up for an account for a web-based reader, you can download and install a free reader program on your computer. Options include:

Once you have set up your reader account or software, do one of the following:

  • Go to Subscribe with a ReaderOpens in a new window * and select your reader in the Subscribe Now! box.
  • Use the following URL and follow the instructions in your reader to subscribe.

Another way to subscribe to the feed is by email. You will receive an email whenever there is a new Curator's Choice page. Email is easy and familiar. But many people do prefer to use a reader to keep their mailboxes uncluttered, especially when they subscribe to a number of feeds. If you decide email is the best option for you, go to Subscribe by EmailOpens in a new window * and enter your email address.

* Both of our subscription links go through a service called FeedBurner.
