Photos of AJ Vonarx

Name: AJ Vonarx

Age: Old as dirt

From: Originally: Altoona , Pennsylvania: Currently: Tucson, Arizona

Bio: Howdy. I'm a graduate student in Archaeology and Geosciences at the University of Arizona. The data collected through this project will help with my dissertation on how to interpret ancient structural fires. In my free time I dance, try (most unsuccessfully) to play the fiddle, and burn things (insert devious giggle here).

What color is your Nalgene or What are you drinking out of?

Don’t have a spiffy Nalgene because I would just lose it. I fill up old plastic Diet Coke bottles with agua and Gatorade

What is your favorite flavor of Gatorade?

Orange by far… but I can’t wait til’ our project makes the leap to Propel Fitness Water.

What was your fire quote?

“And it burns, burns, burns… the ring of fire…”

What injuries have you received?

My cuticles will never be the same…

What was your personal project?

Making sure that all the SCAPers had a great archaeological experience

What is your definition of "buttload"?

Exactly 1,324 tabular pieces of Moenkopi sandstone!

Anything else:

Thanks SCAPpers for a wonderful summer! Special kudos to Kylie for her excellent website design!
