Archaeology Related Public Service

  • Staff will identify artifacts found within the state's boundaries, however no appraisals of value will be given.
  • Upon request, many staff are available to give lectures to school classes and local interest groups on a variety of archaeological topics.
  • On special occasions, tours of a site may be arranged.
  • The museum acts as facilitator in repatriation negotiations and offers guidance concerning what to do in the event of accidental discovery of human remains and objects of cultural heritage. Please see the following pages for more information:
