Yá 'át 'ééh! Hi!
My name is Dibe Yazhi, Super Sheep.
Let me tell you a little about my name. Two young people who visited me gave me my names. And here are the stories they wrote about me.
Dibe Yazhi
I opened my eyes for the first time in an ice cream truck. Coyote keeps picking on me at school. I hit him with my horns when the teacher is not looking. My mom loves to brush me with yucca. I wish I could fly.

Super Sheep
"Look! Up in the sky!"
"It's a bird!"
"It's a plane!"
"No, it's Super Sheep"
It was a normal Sunday morning for Kaya. He woke up and went to pray. Then he went home and found a way to entertain herself. Today, she had gone into the woods to help her mother pick berries. Without knowing it, Kaya had wandered farther and farther away from her mother. All of a sudden, there was a crash and standing in front of her was an enormous bear! The bear growled and Kaya froze. It raised its paw to strike poor Kaya when there was another crash and a huge sheep came sprinting through the underbrush and ran straight into the bear. Kaya had thrown herself down on the ground and began to pray, so she didn't see the fight that was going on in front of her. Finally she had the nerve to open her eyes and she saw nothing. There was no sign that anything had happened. Kaya was puzzled, but in the end she decided that she had made everything up. Kaya wandered around until she found her mother and they went home together. The next day, Kaya went to the river with her mother. She was looking for pretty stones when she saw a beautiful one in the middle of the river. She knew she shouldn't go in to get it, but she did. When she got to the middle of the river, the current started to pull her down. She dared not scream, but she had to get help. Then she heard splashing and saw the sheep. It grabbed her shirt and it pulled her to the shore. Kaya's mother found them and Kaya pleaded with her mother to let her keep the sheep. Her mother said yes, and Kaya named it "Super Sheep." When Kaya went somewhere, Super Sheep followed just to make sure Kaya would stay out of trouble. When she was in trouble, Super Sheep was always there to save the day!by Mallory Brown, 11 years old
