Programs
Lisa Falk (L) with intern Jenny
Pizano (M) and student employee
Veronica Duarte (R)
Programs are important for a museum to offer. They attract media attention and audiences to the museum. They offer varied interpretations and further exploration of exhibition topics. Creativity and collaboration make programs shine, but so does good staff. With limited staff resources, I rely on student employees and volunteers to help produce the programs. They add new ideas and are enthusiastic, but often have schedule conflicts and generally are only here for a semester or two, which means constantly training new helpers. Sometimes grant funding allows me to hire a staff position which enables us to do more.
