February 18 & 19 on the Museum's Front Lawn

New Policy Guidelines

Every year, we ask participating artists for feedback to help us understand how we can better serve them. Based on this past year’s survey results, we have made some changes to our policies. Please take a few minutes to read over these new policies so that you fully understand they may affect you.

Shared Booth Policy

For the first time, shared tables are available to interested artists who fully meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Shared tables are limited to two artists per booth/table.
  2. Both artists must be present throughout the full event, no exceptions.
  3. Tables are limited to 3 chairs and 3 adults behind a shared table at any given time.
  4. No artist may substitute another artist for a shared table without SWIAF approval.
  5. Any payments made after the December 14 fees deadline will be subject to full late fee.
  6. All other rules of payments and artist qualifications apply.

Artists who are accepted but then fail to comply with the criteria will lose eligibility for the show.

Partial Payment Policy

SWIAF now accepts 50% partial payment of booth/table fees to reserve the space. All partial payments are non-refundable. If an artist has paid 50% of the fee, and is unable to pay the balance, no refund or credit will be made. If partial payment is made, the balance must be paid by December 14 to avoid an additional late fee.

Partial payments are not accepted for shared booth fees.

Credit Card Payment of Booth/Table Fees

SWIAF now accepts credit cards for booth/table fees. There is no additional cost for this service. To pay by credit card, you must call within 5 days of submitting your Adult Entry Form. Credit card payments cannot be processed until the Adult Entry Form is received. Your acceptance into the event is contingent upon (1) receipt of your Adult Entry Form and (2) successful processing of your credit card payment. Payments must be accepted before stated deadlines to avoid late fees.

Cancellation Policy

We appreciate that circumstances do not always allow artists to fulfill their intentions to attend our event.  If you have paid your fees and you give us advanced notice that you are unable to attend the fair in 2012, you will be eligible for a 50% non-transferable credit to attend the 2013 fair. Administrative costs associated with accepting artists, and reserving space on their behalf does not allow us to offer a full credit.

This 50% credit is good for one year only. Your credit from 2012 cannot be applied beyond 2013.  If you choose not to attend in 2013, your credit will be forfeited.

Our no-cash-refund policy remains as it was originally stated in the application.

Policy Changes Regarding Booths

  1. All booths must be secured to neighboring booths to the satisfaction of SWIAF safety standards. Stability and liability for booths are the artist’s responsibility.
  2. Artists who fail to comply with event safety standards will be removed from the event and may not be invited to return.
  3. No vertical displays or free-standing sculpture are allowed on the ground in 6’ table rows.
